Hello, I’m Carissa. I live in central Illinois in a large 1970s ranch that my boyfriend and I are trying to resist filling to the brim with our ever growing-collection of mid century modern furniture and objects. I work on the software behind a large data/computation website, feeding it data and teaching it human language so you can ask it whatever you want. In the past I’ve been an entomological behaviorist, a standardized test maker, and a university bureaucrat. Through it all I’ve been an artist and knowledge sponge. This blog is a place for me to document my hobbies, projects and travels.

I love photography, mid-century modern design, Wes Anderson films, wine, biology, and staying up late.
